RE-ELECT ROBERT KIRK
FOR
UTAH COUNTY TREASURER
I'm frequently asked the question....."What exactly does a Treasurer do?
There are four main functions that every treasurer is responsible for. It doesn't matter if you are the treasurer of your Boy Scout Troop, treasurer of your Women's club, the State Treasurer, or the treasurer of Utah County. Every treasurer "collects", "safeguards", "invests", and "disburses" money.
I've been doing these functions for the past 28 years. As your Utah County Treasurer for the past 4 years and 24 years prior to that in the Utah State Treasurer's office as the Financial Manager and Chief Deputy State Treasurer.
I'm a fiscal conservative. I understand the great responsiblity it is to safeguard our "public funds". My investment policy and priorities always have been and always will be"safety", "liquidity", and "yield" in that order. We live in difficult economic times and it requires an experienced professional to manage our treasury. I believe that I'm qualified for the task. Over the past 4 years we've accomplished much in our office, but there is still much that needs to be done.
I believe elected officials should be held to high ethical standards. I believe that elected officials should be "the example of the law, and not the exception".
If you are a Utah County Delegate and believe in the same ideals that I do, then I ask for your support on April 24th at the Utah County Republican Convenstion.
